- Looks for companies that are reasonably priced and have limited downside exposure to the economy
- Seeks to generate returns with particular emphasis on minimizing losses in down markets
- Employs a rigorous and multi-layered approach to selecting investments; selects only one out of approximately 30 to 40 investments reviewed
